The disconnected chiral susceptibility, <inline-formula><mml:math display=\"inline\"><mml:mrow><mml:msub><mml:mrow><mml:mi>χ</mml:mi></mml:mrow><mml:mrow><mml:mtext>disc</mml:mtext></mml:mrow></mml:msub></mml:mrow></mml:math></inline-formula> shows a pronounced peak whose position and height depend sensitively on the quark mass. We find no metastability near the peak and a peak height which does not change when a 5 fm spatial extent is increased to 10 fm. Each result is strong evidence that the QCD “phase transition” is not first order but a continuous crossover for <inline-formula><mml:math display=\"inline\"><mml:mrow><mml:msub><mml:mrow><mml:mi>m</mml:mi></mml:mrow><mml:mrow><mml:mi>π</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:msub><mml:mo>=</mml:mo><mml:mn>135</mml:mn><mml:mtext>  </mml:mtext><mml:mi>MeV</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:math></inline-formula>. The peak location determines a pseudocritical temperature <inline-formula><mml:math display=\"inline\"><mml:mrow><mml:msub><mml:mrow><mml:mi>T</mml:mi></mml:mrow><mml:mrow><mml:mi>c</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:msub><mml:mo>=</mml:mo><mml:mn>155</mml:mn><mml:mo stretchy=\"false\">(</mml:mo><mml:mn>1</mml:mn><mml:mo stretchy=\"false\">)</mml:mo><mml:mo stretchy=\"false\">(</mml:mo><mml:mn>8</mml:mn><mml:mo stretchy=\"false\">)</mml:mo><mml:mtext>  </mml:mtext><mml:mi>MeV</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:math></inline-formula>, in agreement with earlier staggered fermion results. However, the peak height is 50% greater than that suggested by previous staggered results.
